At Intimate Photography we realize that working with a boudoir photographer is very personal and private. We are honored that so many women have selected Intimate Photography for their boudoir sessions. Our goal is to create images you’ll love and to go above and beyond your expectations.
Our studio is located in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego. We do not travel to hotels or rent a studio. You know your photographer and location when you reserve your appointment.
You don’t have to lose weight! You are never too old! You don’t have to know how to pose! You don’t have to pose nude or semi-nude! You don’t have to own lingerie! You don’t have to be photogenic!
Here are the steps to ensure your boudoir session is an amazing experience:
Before Your Session
Feel free to give us a call or email us with any questions. We prefer reserving your session appointment over the phone. Please call 858.395.7771.
We will discuss wardrobe, hair and makeup, your level of comfort, and when you need your completed album. We accept payment in advance for your session fee ($195) and the makeup and hairstyling service, if you select that option ($145).
For your convenience our extensive wardrobe includes, shoes and jewelry, corsets, bra and panty sets, bodysuits, teddies, baby dolls, lacy robes, lingerie dresses, informal veils and white men’s shirts. Sizes 2-6X. Bring your bridal wardrobe and shoes. Bring your garter belt and stockings.
Even though we have an extensive wardrobe, we aren’t a lingerie or shoe store. Most clients find more than enough wardrobe for the 3 clothing changes. Feel free to bring your own wardrobe.
You’ll receive our extensive prep guide including what to do 13 weeks before, 1 week before, the day before, and the day of your session. It also includes a complete shopping guide and lingerie guide.
Review our pricing menu so there are no surprises at your Image Reveal and Ordering appointment. Our minimum package is $495 for the “Little Black Book” including 10 – 4×6 prints in an album.

During Your Session
The studio experience will be welcoming, comfortable, and private. You’ve followed the prep guide so you are well prepared, having everything you need for your session. Don’t forget to eat! You’ll be at the studio for a few hours and we don’t want hunger to distract you.
Next is wardrobe fitting. We look for pieces that accent your best features and hide the areas that you aren’t crazy about. Sizes range from 2-6X. Shoe sizes range from 5-11. If you brought items from home we will include them, adding more pieces if necessary.
If you have purchased the hair and makeup service, our licensed professional artist will be ready for you. She will discuss the look you want and give you options. If you are doing your own hair and make-up, come ready to go with hair, makeup, lashes, and nails ready to start your session. Prep time for hair and makeup is 15 minutes. If more time is needed add $25 per half hour to finish getting ready. You can add your lip color later after wardrobe selection.
Now the FUN begins!
You’ll be coached every step of the way from posing to expressions. Even if you’ve never posed before you’ll do great! Allow 3 hours for your session if you have hair and make-up. Allow 2 hours if you are doing your own makeup and hair. When you leave the studio, you’ll feel confident and assured we have captured incredible images that you’ll love.
After Your Session
Here’s the best part! The Image Reveal and Ordering appointment will be
scheduled a week to 10 days after your session. All viewing appointment are in-person. WE DO NOT OFFER ON-LINE VIEWING.
Rush service is available for a small fee.
You will meet with the photographer to view your custom designed slideshow with all your amazing portraits. Then the editing process begins by selecting your favorites. Deciding on your final images and how to display your portraits is
never rushed.
You will have so many choices: albums, enlargements, acrylics, canvas, calendars and digital files. Payment in full is required at the ordering appointment. Our prices are easy to understand, and transparent. There is something for everyone. Delivery time varies depending on the products or packages you select.

Your order has arrived! We will meet to present you with your completed order. We love seeing the expression on your face when you see your beautiful album for the first time!!
